During my recent stay in El Raval, I found Casa Teva to provide a satisfactory experience that strikes a balance between luxury and value. While it presents itself as a budget option, I believe it merits a rating closer to two stars due to its updated rooms and attentive staff. The room was clean and accommodating but lacked amenities like a water heater for tea-an unexpected drawback for a hotel seeking to elevate its status. While the air conditioning was functional, it could benefit from servicing as it was slightly noisy. The flat-screen TV and in-room safe were practical additions, and I appreciated the luggage storage service available if your flight is later in the day. Awareness of the surrounding area is essential, especially after dark, as El Raval can feel less secure. Given its proximity to La Rambla and public transport, the location can be convenient for those who navigate wisely. If you're looking for a basic, affordable stay with no frills, Casa Teva may just be the right option.
